Organized by German Design Council, The German Design Awards is the council's premium international prize and is one of the world's most renowned design competitions. The award recognizes the excellence of designers and companies that have been ableto express, in their products, originality, creativity and a synthesis betweenquality, functionality, and ergonomics. With over 5,400 entries submitted for theGerman Design Awards 2019, the competition has again shown pleasing growth.Product and project submissions were received from 63 countries, with the shareof international entries reaching 54 percent.

The awards ceremony will be held on 7 February 2020 in Frankfurt, in conjunction with the Ambiente 2020 trade fair.
