Organizedby Germany Design Council, the award ceremony of the Iconic Awards 2019 was held on 7 October at Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich. Central Park by logon.design scored "Selection" in the "Innovative Architecture" category.
Iconic Awards, founded by the German Design Council in 1953, is one ofthe most important and professional design and architecture awards in the world. It's an interdisciplinary architectural design competition. Jury honours the selected winners in the categories architecture, interior, product, communication and concept. Its awards are considered to be an independent seal of quality of international standing, marking out contemporary developments and creative achievements.
Nearly thousands of projects were collected by jury for this edition, among which Central Plaza by logon.design won selection of the awards. The award ceremony was held during EXPOREAL at Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich - the acknowledged contemporary art and architecture museum.
The Central Plaza is adjacent to Shanghai People's Square and surrounded by many cultural landmarks. Inspired by the cultural surrounding nature of the area, the concept of the project is the interconnection of the landmarks creating a focal point. The same cultural interconnection is where the visual identity, signage, space design and brand image conceived consistently.
