In an effort to drive further the growth of Home Inns, founded in 2002, plans to build a new headquarters in Wujiang, Suzhou. The complex is to host quality office spaces and an activity center with supporting facilities for more than 1,200 employees work and entertain themselves. It will also include an education and training center, conference and meeting spaces, as well as a 150-room high-end hotel. “Wherever you are, you’ll always feel at home” is not only the hotel group’s slogan but also a guiding principle in the design and master planning of the new headquarters. Functions are laid out in such a way to ensure smooth, efficient inter-departmental communication and in the meantime meet the needs of different users. The main building provides a superior working environment for staffers with the top floor accommodating high-end business club. The building is attached to the education and training center to its east, opposite the main road to its west hosting the budget hotel. Part of the second phase, the staff activity center is located in the south of the site. Another 30,000sqm office space will be built in the east at the third phase.
