logonLAB is research department of logon. Founded in 2009, logonLAB is now a resource for knowledge innovation and sharing as well as for consulting on the development of projects. Formed by a multi-disciplinary team of experts, it includes a sociologist, urban planners, and designers.
Driven by the belief that understanding and intelligence make better projects, logonLAB strength is the practical knowledge coming from the professional practice. It is the experience in developing ideas and designs with clients while responding to final users’ needs, the trigger for the development of innovative methodologies and original points of view.
Through an unconventional and non-dogmatic approach, logonLAB investigates urban, social, economic, cultural, industry aspects of changing cities and behaviors in China. With previous research on sustainability and smart cities behind, the LAB is now focusing on new evolving topics like urban regeneration and adaptive reuse, the evolution of workplaces and hospitality.
logonLAB contributes with three main products: project analysis, project positioning reports, and independent research. While the formers are project-related, aimed to study the feasibility and establish the foundations of the development at the earliest stage of a project, the independent research is an autonomous work. By conducting independent research, logonLAB aims to communicate knowledge, methodology, ideas, and insights.
